In 2023, Maikel founded LeadWise to make a positive contribution to employee happiness around the globe, which is highly affected by the quality of the managers and leaders employees work with.

Between 2013 and 2023, he was a successful sales leader at Google, known for his authentic style and customer-centric approach. Trained to become a successful manager at Google he realized not everyone has access to great training programs and resources to guide them in their leadership journey.

Together with experts in leadership development, Maikel created a new solution to lower the barriers - often time and money - to participate in management training programs.
